LT. COL. Jason R. Stowe
1971 ~ 2012
PEYTON, CO-Our loving husband, father, and son passed away on Oct. 5, 2012, as a result of a trucking accident.
He was born in Portland, Oregon on Aug. 9, 1971, son of Ronald V. and Sidney Anne Stowe. He married Shaunel Jensen in the Utah Manti Temple March 19, 1993. Jason was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Granger High School in West Valley City, Utah, in 1989. He served a LDS mission to Italy, 1990-1992. He graduated from USU and earned Master's degrees from Embry Riddle and USU. He was commissioned in the USAF June 1995 and served 17 years. He deployed twice. His favorite duty station was as a Geo-science instructor at the Air Force Academy for four years. He was given many awards and commendations through his Military career.
He was an exceptional teacher both in his Church callings and as an instructor at the AF Academy. He loved working with the cadets and they loved him. He will be missed by many.
Jason's greatest accomplishment and love was his family. He's survived by his wife, Shaunel, and four children, Bayli-15, Emma-13, Zachary-11, Arianna-9; parents Ron and Sidney, brothers, Tyler (Chandra), Matthew (Alana), Grandmother, Margean Stowe Schow: step-grandfather, Jack Bosh; wife's parents Vearl and Shirley Jensen; wife's four siblings and spouses; eight nephews, 12 nieces.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 12, 2012, 11 a.m. in the LDS Black Forest Wad Building, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 6950 Shoup Rd. Viewing 9:30-10:30 a.m. before funeral. Burial in the Eastonville Cemetery with full military honors.
