Son of Thomas A. Rhudy and Sarah Jane Jolliff.

Grandson of Stphen Floyd Rhudy and Thursa Ann Cornett.

Melvin married Mary A. Focht in 1924 in Kansas.

She was the daughter of Lewis and Mary Focht.

They had no children.

The funeral for Melvin A. Rhudy, 73, 700 W. Prescott, will be at 10:30 am Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, the ev. Norman E. Walter officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial park cemetery.

Mr. Rhudy died Wednesday at St. John's hospital after a long illness.

He was born Jan. 19, 1901, at King City, Mo. He was a Machinist for the Union Pacific Railroad for more than 40 years and retired in 1960. He had been in poor health for several years. Mr. Rhudy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church,the Union Pacific Old Timers club and the Lutheran Laymen club.

Survivors are the widow, Mary A., of the home; a brother, Ted, Holland Mich.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Dick Oetting, Solomon, and Mrs. Bessie Richards, Martinez, Calif.

Friends may call at Geisendorf Rush Smith funeral home until Friday morning.
