Jan W. Brothers, 56, died at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Plainfield, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from New Jersey. He was a firefighter in Plainfield and an owner of Brother and Sons Towing and Recovery. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Victoria Brothers of Vero Beach; sons, Stephen Samuel Brothers of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Gavin Brothers of Vero Beach; sisters, Debi O'Brien of Vero Beach, Patricia Sacco of Lakeland, Sandi Sacco of Estero and Donna Sacco of Bedford, Texas; and brothers, Thomas Sacco of Fort Myers, Peter Sacco of Arlington, Texas, and Lois Meadows of Ocala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Lenore Brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to Indian River County Firefighters, 1818 Commerce Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960. Services: A service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 923 19th Place, Vero Beach. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory.
