WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mrs. Fred P. Blanchfield, 76, 610 – 10th Avenue South, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Hospital where she was admitted on May 17. Death followed a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Reverend Robert Brickman officiating, with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Blanchfield, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Wuebben, was born in Sheboygan, June 2, 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Wuebben. She came to Wisconsin Rapids in 1928, and on May 7, 1939, was married to Fred Blanchfield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Earl O., Schofield; and Merle H., Biron; a daughter, Mrs. Meredith Stern, Hales Corners; a brother, Edward Wuebben, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Blanchfield was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home until noon Tuesday and at the church after 1 p.m. Memorials may be designated to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
