Born Jan. 11, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo., to Elmer and Emma Morgenthaler.
He graduated from the University of Missouri and was employed by Amoco International Oil Company for 32 years and lived in many countries.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven; his mother and father; and his brother, Warren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Morgenthaler of Bella Vista, Ark.; sons, James and wife, Kathy, Bob and wife, Ajar; and little granddaughter, Mia Maria.
