She was born May 2, 1904, in Bluff, Mo., daughter of William and Armena Meadows White. She married Robert Back on Oct. 18, 1922 in Taney County, Mo. He died in 1953.
Suvivors include six sons, Dorsey F. of Renton, Wash., Robert O. of Sumner, Lester L., and Jimmie D., both of Evansdale, Ray E. of Mountain Home, Ark., and Charles A. of Waterloo; five daughters, Della J. Capps of Granby, Mo., Mary E. Charest of Las Vegas, Mary L. Murry or Elk Run Heights, Alice M. Peyton of Warerloo and Maude A. Syhlman of Cedar Falls; 36 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; and two brothers, R. A. White of Waterloo and William R. White of Pensacola, Fla.; she was preceded in death by a daughter , Nona Belle; four grandchildren ; two brothers, Albert and John F. White; two sisters, Mary Mortfort and Lona McGarth.
