Gregory Anderson, 47
Gregory Wallace Anderson, 47, of Minneapolis, passed away at his residence. Gregory was born on August 5, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Wallace and Eldora (Schumacher) Anderson. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and was drafted into the service during the Vietnam War. He served in the military police.
Greg spent some time living near Osakis on Smith Lake. He returned to Minneapolis and worked for Shamrock Industries doing plastic injection molding. He later became employed as an equipment maintenance man for the U.S. Postal Service.
Greg had many hobbies. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and photography. He liked to garden and grew beautiful flowers each year. He was an excellent cook, cribbage player, and enjoyed being with children.
He is survived by his children Carrie and Johnny Anderson of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Steven and Karen Anderson of East Bethel, Larry Anderson of Buffalo, Robert and Patti Anderson of Chisago city, Richard and Tammie Anderson of Osakis; a sister Debra Anderson of Cedar; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wallace in 1989 and Eldora in 1985.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, July 11, 1998 at 1 p.m. at our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Nelson with Reverend Merlin Bartelt officiating. Organist was Bev Steuck.
Casket bearers were Steven, Larry, Robert and Richard Anderson, Roger Davis and Darryl Witt. Military honors were provided by the Osakis VFW Post #7902.
Arrangements were handled by the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis, MN.
