Alexandria, VA,: Age 88, formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away on September 14, 2012. Gerry was predeceased by her husband Richard, her brother, Franklin Van Auken and her sister, Jean Van Auken. She is survived by her children: Catherine (Kristopher Halverson), Richard (Elizabeth), Joan (William Harman), Donald (Catherine), and Nancy Prendergast (Brian); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 am at Third Presbyterian Church in Rochester, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Memorial Art Gallery; the Rochester Museum and Science Center; or Third Presbyterian Church.
