Barbara W. Mismas, 54, of West Newton, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at Mercy Jeannette Hospital. Born Jan. 18, 1952, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph "Wink" and Marie "Mim" (Peters) Walko. She was a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church and VFW Post 8427, both in Herminie, and the American Legion in Zelienople. Barbara worked at Mercy Jeannette Hospital as a dietary aide. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James L. Mismas; two daughters, Jaime Reno and husband, Timothy, and Leann Mismas; a sister, Kathy VanBatenburg; also a niece and two nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., West Newton, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Thomas Trupkovich officiating. Interment in West Newton Cemetery.
