Funeral Rites For Accident Victim Held
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvin for eight year old Ronald Dale Blake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dale Blake of Dallas, Texas.
He died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, january 6, 1971, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. He was a passenger in a car involved in a two-vehicle crash just outside Tyler, Texas off Interstate 20, Monday. His parents and two sisters were also in the car, but sustained minor injuries.
Funeral services were held in the Calvin Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Pierce and Rev. Charles Thornton officiating. Burial was in the Couley Cemetery near Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
He also is survived by two sisters, Kimberly and Terri, both of Dallas, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Arnold Bice of Calvin; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Blake of San Diego, Calif., and his maternal great grandfather, Bob Blake of Winnfield.
