Warren Guisinger of Omaha, NE, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012, at the age of 92.
He was born on August 18, 1920, in Eureka, KS, the son of Lettie and Arthur Guisinger. He married Dolly Lou McDonald in 1947 and they celebrated 65 years together this past June.
Warren grew up on a farm near Eureka and spent his early years working in the Eureka area. He went to work for Sinclair/ARCO Oil & Gas in 1951 and continued to work for them for 34 years, moving to Gridley in 1965 and retiring in 1985. Warren enjoyed family, friends, animals, and square dancing.
Warren is survived by his wife, Dolly of Omaha, NE; sister, Hazel McDonald of Eureka; daughter, Nancy and husband, Jerry Kempnich of Omaha, NE; son, David and wife, Nancy Guisinger of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Matt and wife, Alex, and Lisa, and Leslie Guisinger all of Midland, TX. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Olive and June.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Gridley Christian Church, in Gridley, with Pastor Joshua Weakley officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gridley Christian Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home at P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
