FUNERAL OF THE LATE E. B. HICKS

RAYMOND, Jan 6 - New Years day the funeral of the late E. B. Hicks was held in the Opera House. Bishop George W. Green, of the Latter day Saints church at Lethbridge, officiating. The deceased was an old-timer of the Raymond district, but for the past few years has resided in Lethbridge, where he was connected with the Pilling Land Company.
The funeral was a large one and the floral offerings literally concealed the casket. The speakers were Bishop Green and Elders Palmer, Dahl and Snow. Mr. Pilling of the Pilling land Company also spoke briefly. Patriarch Fawns offered the invocation, and Elder Thos. O. King, of the High Council, pronounced the benediction. Elder S. Farnham Kimball dedicated the grave. Interment was made in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
The music was furnished by a choir composed of singers from each of the local wards. Mr. C. . . Strong conducted, and Mr. C. F. Tollesrup officiated at the organ. Solos were contributed by Mr. Leland Solder and Mrs. O. H. Snow. A quartette also rendered a special number.
