He was born May 20, 1943 in Franklin, IN to Millard & Rhoda Mae Blackwell. Wayne graduated from Redwood High School in Visalia and shortly after he joined the Air Force. He was stationed at Bunker Hill, IN where he met and married Kay. They had a daughter named Kemberly. They divorced in 1970.

In 1971, Wayne married Karen and soon after he left for Vietnam. Upon returning to the United States, the Air Force sent him to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ where his son Matthew was born. In 1983, Wayne decided to retire from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Wayne & Karen divorced.

Because of his love of Alaska he returned to Anchorage, where he enjoyed prospecting for gold with his friend Marshall. He also enjoyed flying, bowling and of course golfing. Wayne worked several years as a RV salesman with his friend Jerry and also was a car salesman for Cal Worthington. During the past few years, Wayne was a starter / Marshall at Eagle Glen Golf Course.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents. Wayne was sure that they have golf courses in heaven and told his friend Jerry he would get them a tee time when he got there. We will miss Wayne's presence in our lives.
