Born in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland on July 9, 1883. She immigrated to Boston on the "Numidian" departing Londonderry and arriving in Boston on December 4, 1912. On this voyage she met Mary Margaret O'Kane and forged a strong friendship. After her marriage to Tom McNulty, she relocated to New Jersey and became a neighbor of her friend Mary's in Kearny, NJ, and second mother to all her children. In 1950, her husband Tom died, as did Mary; then her friend's husband, Joe, passed away in 1951 of TB. Until her death in 1972, she remained close to the grown children and always had their family as hers.
