Patrick W. Desmond died at age 28.

Survived by parents Patrick C. Desmond and Mary Colleen Desmond. Parents called Rick and Colleen per obituary. His father was a United States military officer, Major Patrick C. Desmond, US Army Special Forces, retired.

He was also survived by sisters Jaime and Julie, and nieces Reagan and Kaelin.

Memorial services were held June 18, 2008 at the Florida Memorial Funeral Home of Rockledge, Florida.

He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and finished Scout Swimmer School at Camp Pendelton in Southern California.

Patrick W. Desmond died of a heroin drug overdose after receiving treatment at a Scientology drug rehab facility Narconon in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Narconon of Georgia, Narconon International, and the Narconon medical director Lisa Carolina Robbins, M.D.
