John went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Bend, Oregon on Wednesday, September 25, 2012. John was born in Camas, Washington to Rogner and Helen Josephson on August 21, 1943.
He graduated in 1961 from Washougal High School in Washougal, Washington. He worked 42 years for the local Camas Paper Mill in multiple capacities in Camas, Washington. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He cherished spending time with his family and close friends.
John was our favorite type of athlete, the arm chair variety. He enjoyed watching basketball and football. He especially loved watching his grandson, Christian, play for the Skyview Storm and cheering on his granddaughters playing on the soccer filed in local community leagues.
John and his wife, Sharon, are members of Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, Washington. When they spent time in Bend, Oregon they participated in the West Side Foursquare Church and its community of believers.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Josephson; sister Carol Risner of Camas, Washington; daughters Lynnell Josephson and Carmen (Jim) Moorman; son Erik (Mistie) Josephson; and three grandchildren, Christian Moorman, Kalelah Moorman and Katelyn Josephson.
Visitation was held at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel in Vancouver, Washington on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The Graveside Service was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, 1101 NE 112th Ave. Vancouver, Washington. The Memorial Service started at 1:00 p.m. at Vancouver Foursquare Church, 1801 Daniels St.,Vancouver, Washington.
