Antonio was survived by his sister Emma Chavez; his long term soul mate, Mary G. Griffin; daughters: Ida and Patty; son Jerry; granddaughter Brianna; nephews: Louis, Robert, Leonard, Stanley, Herb and Jason; as well as many extended family members.
Tony served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and saw action in the Pacific, including Iwo Jima. He was an assistant cook (ACK), but a Marine is a rifleman first. Tony loved cooking, dancing, roller skating, watching novellas on TV, and making models and tools from wood with an eye for perfection. He was also a dapper dresser.
A memorial service was held on November 29, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Carlisle Chapel in Albuquerque. Tony's cremains were placed at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a columbaria.
