David Dwight Selman Sr., 59, of Hubbard, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at his home with family members around him. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, at Wade Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at the funeral home
David was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to the late Billy and Helen (Phelps) Selman. He lived almost all of his life in the Hubbard area where he worked as a driver for Southern Hill EMS. David also worked for Wade Funeral Home and was a member of First Church of God in Hubbard.
Survivors include daughters, Karen Thompson, of Robinson, and Melissa Wallace and husband, Thomas, of Hubbard; sons, David Selman Jr., and Seth Franklin, both of Hubbard; grandchildren, Ricky Thompson Jr., Jordan Thompson, Thomas Wallace III and Jacob Kruse; brothers, Billy Selman and wife, Glenda, of Hubbard, Jerry Selman and wife, Janet, of Round Rock, and Robert Selman and wife, Linda, of Hubbard; sisters, Linda Pruitt, of Dawson, and Kathy Galvan and husband, John, of Sherman; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
