Alpha Irene Beach (nee Shaw) 91years old of Lorain, Ohio died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, Ohio.
Alpha was born on January 11, 1920 in West Decatur, Pennsylvania and moved to Elyria in 1965. She was employed by the City of Elyria, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the E.U.B. Church of Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Constance L. (Dennis) Sinclair of Lorain; three grandchildren, Brian James Sinclair of San Ramon, California, Michelle Renee Sinclair-First of Lorain, Jennifer Kay Beach of Elyria; and three great grandchildren, Austin First of Lorain, and Layla and Lela Beach of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Kay Beach in 1962; a son Randall S.Beach in 2010; four brothers; Wayne (Baldy) Shaw, Herman (Son) Shaw, Edward (Pete) Shaw and Merrill (Bill) Shaw and four sisters; Ruth Orndorff, Lena Wisor, Gladys Vaughn and Iva Shimmel; and her parents, Walter S. and Roberta E. (nee Bush) Shaw.
Friends will be received in the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Alpha will be taken to Philipsburg Cemetery, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania for burial on Friday, February 11, 2011 for a graveside service at 12:30 P.M.
