Mary R. Amos, 70, of Colcord, Oklahoma, died September 24, 2012, at her home.
Born September 28, 1941, in Monterey, California, she was the daughter of Clarence Raleigh and Katie Lafferty Raleigh.

She moved to Colcord in 1965, from Hooks, Texas and was a school librarian for the Colcord Public School. Mary was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. On July 13, 1962, she married Earl "Doc" Amos in DeKalb, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lawrence Raleigh.

Survivors include her husband Earl "Doc" of the home; four sons, Frank Amos and wife Pam of Colcord, Oklahoma, Matthew "Matt" Amos of Lawton, Oklahoma, Sam Amos and wife Christy of Gentry, Arkansas, and Charles "Charlie" Raleigh Amos of Nowata, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Jack Raleigh and wife Carol of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and one sister, Lila Jean Murray and husband Bennie of Nash, Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Gary Barker and Mr. Larry Ellis officiating.

Burial will follow at Dickson Cemetery, near Cherokee City, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Inc., Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
