Patsy Dimas, age 56, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at her home in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Patsy was born in Roswell, NM to Ruben Dimas and Mary A. Márquez Dimas.
Patsy Dimas was a beautiful loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Patsy loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Patsy loved fishing, gardening, hunting and most of all her zumba class. Patsy loved cooking for all her family and always welcomed everyone.
Patsy was known for her big bright smile and laughter and always positive attitude. Patsy loved get togethers with her family and friends and was always that individual that had everyone laughing. As an employee of Buena Vista Eye Care she made a lot of friends and even acquired some as grandpa, grandma, mom, dad, prima, primo, brother and sister. All of the staff members were recognized as family members by her. Patsy loved to have her childrens friends and neighborhood kids over for visiting and to share a meal with. Numerous kids wanted to be adopted by her, a lot of them calling her "Mom" into adulthood. Animals were always coming around to be fed by her and a lot of the time they stayed.
Patsy leaves behind her loving Chihuahua, Chico, whom she thought of as a family member. A very important aspect of her life was devotion to serving Christ and spending time with her Christian family. Patsy was always encouraging everyone to love, serve and obey God. It is her love for God and Christ that guided her through the good and hard times of her life. Her devotion and faith in God made her struggle with cancer easier on her and her family. Patsy will be greatly missed by all, and remembered forever for the wonderful, beautiful personshe was inside and out.

A celebration of life will take place at the Mountain View Church of Christ in Las Vegas, NM, with services on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mountain View Church of Christ with Pastor Leroy Aragon officiating. Final resting place will immediately take place following mass at the Las Vegas Church of Christ Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers, Brandon Trujillo, Mark García, Pat García, Curtis Dimas, Rudy Dimas, Ruben Dimas and Jeffery Sánchez. Serving as honorary bearers will be all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
