OGDEN – Mavis Grover Ahlmer passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 7, 2004. Though we know she is in a far better place, she will be terribly missed. Her positive and sunny disposition brought hope and comfort to us all.

She was born March 28, 1928 in Fielding, Utah to Ralph and Voylet Justensen Grover. She married Spencer Ahlmer on June 10, 1948 in the Logan Temple.

Mavis was a member of the LDS Church. She always had a strong testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served the Lord faithfully all of her life.

She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and for 54 years she was a member of a club with no name (a group of seven newlywed girls that continued to meet each month, throughout their lives).

Surviving are her husband, Spencer Ahlmer; children, Brent (Pam) Ahlmer, No. Ogden; Rex (Margene) Ahlmer, No. Ogden; Tim (Pam) Ahlmer, Pleasant View; Sheree Ahlmer, Raleigh, NC; Shauna (Chris) Smalley, Sandy; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and four sisters, Erma Anderson, Haggeman, ID; Janice (Walt) Sutherland, No. Ogden; Ruth (Darwin) Brough, Tremonton; Raymond (Connie) Grover, Bear River City; and LaRee Dickson, West Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ralph Dean, Leon, Claine, and Verl.
