He was born in Bel, LA on October 6, 1931 to Daniel E. and Cornelia Green Airhart and lived in the Lake Charles/Moss Bluff area for most of his life. He retired from Olin Corporation on December 31, 1990 after working as a carpenter there for more than 39 years. Mr. Airhart was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff.
Visitation for Mr. Airhart will be Wednesday, September 26 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles and again on Thursday, September 27 from 10 AM to 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. The service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, September 27 at First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff followed by burial at Creel Cemetery in Reeves, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers and in keeping with his servant's heart and his care for those who invested their lives doing God's work, donations may be made in his name to Mission Dignity (www.MissionDignitySBC.org).
