Husband of Ruth M Rock. son of Edward Clukey and Beatrice Fleming.

PLATTSBURGH - James E.
Clukey Sr., 71, of 267 Bradford
Road died Sunday, Oct. 8, at the
CVPH Medical Center.
He was born February 21,
1924, the son of Edward and
Beatrice (Fleming) Clukey.
Mr. Clukey was a member of
St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville,
American Legion Post
1619 in West Plattsburgh and
the Tapers and Painters Union
Local 489.
He was a World War II Army
veteran, having served in the
Pacific Theater. Following the
war, he joined the Tapers and
Painters Union, as a taper for 36
years. He worked locally as well
as in several cities on the Eastern
Seaboard, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include five sons,
James E. Clukey J r . of
Rochester, Michael Clukey of
Johnstown, Lonnie Clukey and
his wife Cheryl of Peru, Anthony
Clukey and his wife Sandy of
Prattville, Ala., and John Henry
Clukey of Gansevoort; a brother,
Richard Clukey and his wife,
Ruth, of Plattsburgh; three
friends, Paul Montgomery of
Plattsburgh and Mr. and Mrs.
Terry Hayes of Plattsburgh; six
grandchildren; three nieces and
six nephews. A brother, Paul
Clukey, died earlier this year.
Calling hours will be held
Tuesday from 2 tc 4 p.m. and 7 to
9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker
Funeral Home. American Legion
services will be held at 7 p.m.
followed by vigil services at 7:30
p.m.
Funeral services will be held
at 10 a.m. at St. Alexander's
Church followed by burial in Riverside
Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
Donations may be made to the
Salvation Army in his memory
