Judy Joyce Ahlbom, 69, of College Mound, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at her home.
Judy was born on October 5, 1942, in Montgomery County, MO, the daughter of Marvin and Flora (Stoneberger) Grotewiel. She was united in marriage to John Ham. She later married Mike Ahlbom in Springfield, MO, in April of 1984.
She is survived by her husband Mike of the home; three children, Randy Ham and wife, Veda, of Columbia, Vicki DeWeese of Macon, Corey Ham of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Lindsey Ham, Kelsey Ham, Heather Clark and Zach DeWeese; and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Siler of Pahrump, NV; one brother, Larry Grotewiel of Virginia; and nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one step-son, Nick Ahlbom.
Judy was a member of the Women's VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed flowers, quilting, fishing and especially spending time with family.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Funeral services were at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, with Bro. Jim Bolin conducting the service. Burial was in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
