Mr Jackman was a member of one of Barren County's prominent families, but spent most of his life in Louisville where he retired from L&N Railroad as a fireman. He married Bertha Kincheloe, Barren County. They had one daughter, Lena Mae; two sons, Harvey and Lynn. My memories of Kirb and Bertha were occasions of sitting on their quite large front porch in Louisville off Southern Parkway w/my grandparents. Back then, frequent in-person visits and newsworthy conversations were a natural and welcomed part of family life.
