Kathy McBride, 58, of Sand Springs, passed from this life on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Sand Springs. One of two children of Kenneth R. Thompson and Betty (Plunk) Thompson, she was born in Tulsa on April 17, 1954. After graduating from Charles Page High School in 1972 she completed two years of college level work and became a Certified Professional Secretary. She worked for HSBC as a customer service representative. Steve McBride took Kathy as his wife on June 22, 1973 in Sand Springs and they had enjoyed over thirty-nine years of marriage prior to her death.
Kathy enjoyed writing poetry, reading, and spending time with her children and family.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and her funeral will be at Angus Church, 4401 S 129th W Ave, Sand Springs at 12:00 on Monday, September 24, 2012, with Pastor Rick Cope officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park, 1200 N Cleveland in Sand Springs under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
