Wife of Clarence Victor Burch

Graveside services for Cora Wilkes Burch, 95, of Dublin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Northview Cemetery, with Rev. David W. Cook officiating. A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Burch had made her home in Dublin since 1918. She was the daughter of the late J. M. Wilkes and Etta Stewart Wilkes. She was the widow of the late Clarence V. Burch Sr., and preceeded her son, Clarence V. Burch Jr. in death. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #175. She was a member of the Dublin Garden Club, and a charter member of the Dublin Country Club. Mrs. Burch was a member of the Ladies Golf Association, and was an active member of the women's auxiliaries for the Dublin Elks and Moose Lodges. She had been a member of First Baptist Church for 77 years. Mrs. Burch died on Thursday in a local nursing home. Survivors include two grandchildren; Sara Melanie Burch Ragle of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Daniel Victor Burch of Colorado Springs, Col. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions to the First Baptist Church, 405 Bellevue Ave., Dublin, Ga. 31021 in memory of Mrs Burch would be appreciated. Adams Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
