Nettie Mae Mayfield, 90, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004, at her daughter's residence in Lubbock.
Services will be held at
1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Rev. Jack Watkins officiating. Burial will
follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Nettie was born August 13, 1914, to Miles and Mattie Lou Thedford in Noon Day, Texas. She married Jesse Dolf Mayfield on November 30, 1932, in Shreveport, LA. Her life was devoted to caring for her family. She was a
member of Temple Baptist Church.
Her husband and a daughter, Betty Joy Merritt, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Jesse Dolf Mayfield Jr. of Odessa; daughters, Rosie Featherston of Andrews, TX, Emma Blackburn of Lubbock, TX, and Evelyn Talley of Kilgore, TX; sister, Faye King of Arlington, TX; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
