DAVENPORT - Barbara L. Hatfield, of Davenport died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, following a sudden illness.

Barbara Lee Ramsey was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Davenport, the daughter of Robert and Jeannette (Roman) Ramsey. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1960 and attended the AIC business college, Davenport. Barbara was employed by the Rock Island Arsenal, CPOC Directorate Benefits and Records Department. Barbara L. Ramsey married Larry E. Hatfield on May 7, 1966, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Davenport. Barbara enjoyed painting, camping, fishing and crocheting. She attended St. Mark Lutheran Church. Barbara was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association. Survivors include her husband, Larry; sons, Timothy A. Hatfield, and his wife, Carol, Davenport, and Cory M. Hatfield and his fiance, Allison Garcia, Davenport; grandchildren, Kyle, Caitlin, Nathan and Aaron; an adoptive sister, Susan Poletti, Denver, Colo.; half sister, Marilyn Panozzo, Davenport; and half brothers, Robert Ramsey, Bettendorf, James Ramsey, Davenport, and Craig Ramsey, Davenport. An infant daughter, Dannette Hatfield, and a brother, John E. Ramsey, preceded her in death June 1972, August 2000.
