MRS. LOUISA F. BAREIS, A FORMER RESIDENT OF LOWELL.
Departed this life May 3, 1909, Mrs. Louisa F. Bareis, aged 84 years. The passing away of Mrs. Bareis leaves a void not easily filled.
She was born in Wurtenburg, Germany, coming to this country in 1855 to the town of Lowell where she and her husband, who proceeded her twenty years ago, lived.
Mr. and Mrs. Bareis came here with their family consisting of four girls and two boys in 1872, where she has since remained.
Her ambition after her duty to her family was to make an ideal home, in which she made a complete success. In the busy life she led she found time to cultivate the greatest variety and the loveliest flowers in Cascade. In her charities she was mindful of the injunction "Let not the right hand know what the left hand doeth;" and a kinder neighbor could not be.
She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters and one son; Mrs. Nelson Baird of Cadillac, Mrs. Lizzie Earhardt of Ada, William of Colorado and Mrs. Fred Vrooman, with whom she resided at the time of her death. Devoted mother, Christian friend, it is with sad heart that we say: "Farewell."--[East Paris-West Cascade Scribe.
