Isabella first married Henry Parish and they had a son Charles E. Parrish. After Henry's death, Isabella married Dr. James K. Armstrong, a Methodist minister and educator. He was for 14 years the president of Marion Female Academy. He died in 1878 of yellow fever in Grenada MS, but his gravesite is currently unknown.
