Mrs. T F Abernethy Buried at Eupora

Mrs. Thomas Franklin Abernethy, mother of H B Abernethy, Houston attorney, and Congressman Thomas G Abernethy of Okolona who died at Eupora Monday afternoon after a long illness, was laid to rest at Eupora Tuesday afternoon.

Services were conducted from the Eupora Methodist Church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Joe McClusky of Eupora officiating, assisted by the Rev. E H Cunningham, former pastor at Houlka, and the Rev. W W Herrin, Baptist pastor at Eupora. Burial was in the Eupora Cemetery with Wise Bros. Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Abernethy was born at Cedaretta and was a lifelong Mississippian. She was the former Minnie Agnes Jinkins. Mr. and Mrs. Abernethy had made their home in Eupora since they were married in 1895. She was a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, a daughter, Miss Bessie Abernethy, a school teacher at Memphis; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
