Reverend Jimmy was a Minister for Praise Assembly Deaf Church in Tulsa, OK. He was Director of South Central Deaf Retreat for 17 years and President of National Deaf Culture Fellowship of the Assemblies of God.
On February 5, 1982, he was united in marriage with Janie Marie (Horton) who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Janee` and husband Jeremy McCrate of Glenpool, OK; three sons, Jordan Schwyhart and wife Shelby of San Antonio, TX, Jared Schwyhart of Tulsa, OK and Devin Bacon of Broken Arrow, OK; three grandchildren, Abigail Schwyhart, Jax McCrate and Owen Schwyhart; mother, Pansy Nooner; stepmother, Grace Shaver; four brothers, Joe Bill Schwyhart, John Schwyhart, Del Reed and Rick Reed; one sister, Pamela Lynn Menzies; many nieces and nephews; and lots of other family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Irene Schwyhart and Bee Hammon and his father, Joseph Leroy Schwyhart.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Blue Eye Cemetery with Reverend Robert Fairchild and Reverend Darryl Billingsley officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
