Alfred W. Sorenson, 61, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at his home here following an extended illness.
Mr. Sorenson, who moved here five months ago from a farm near Nelson where he had lived for 20 years, was born October 1, 1885, in Filley. He was a member of the Hastings chapter of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his widow, Esther; two sons, William of Miami, Fla., and Frank of Hastings; one daughter, Mrs. Anthony Yilk of Hastings; three grandchildren: three brothers, Frank of Nelson, Carl of Kalispell, Mont., and Elmer of Grandview, Wash.: and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoffman of Garneill, Montana, and Mrs. Anna Shaw of Superior.
The body is at the Volland Funeral Home. Arrangements for the funeral service are delayed pending the arrival of his son from Miami. – Hastings Daily Tribune.
