Frances P. Maynard, 77, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday at home.
Mrs. Maynard was born in Marion to the late Paul Revere and Edna Esther (Ault) Soultz. She was married to Robert Maynard, who died Jan. 8, 1998. She retired from Lloyd Wood Real Estate.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Barbee Lake Conservation Club. She formerly was a member of the Marion Area Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She was formerly a volunteer for the American Heart Association of Delaware County, and had served on its board of directors.
Survivors include sons, James W. (Rosemary) Stone, Marion, Stephen P. (Janice) Maynard, Sweetser, and Brian Robert (Elizabeth) Maynard, Decatur; daughters, Earlene K. (Don) Wehunt and Debra L. (Jeffery) Wagner, both of Marion; brothers, Charles (Ellen) Soultz, Dale (Lesta) Soultz, Ray D. (Becky) Soultz, and Ronald L. (Cathy) Soultz, all of Jonesboro; sisters, Phyllis (David) Hosier, Marjorie Randolph and Lois (Roland) Bogear, all of Jonesboro, Janet (Robert) Eckert, South Bend, Beverly (Loy) Bittle, Heber Springs, Ark., and Marilyn (Eddie) Miller, Tipton; grandchildren, James (Irene) Stone Jr., Tony (Jennifer) Meyer, Aaron Wagner and Brittany Wagner, all of Marion, Robert E. (Mandy) Stone, Fort Wayne, Jennifer (Todd) Whitehurst, Somerset, Tiffany (J. Scott) Forrest, Farmland, Jarrod (Gayle) Wagner, Converse, Nathan Maynard, Daniel Maynard and Cole Maynard, all of Sweetser, and Alexandra Maynard and Meghan Maynard, both of Decatur; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma J., Fairmount.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Robert Earl Jr.; a daughter, Rita; and a brother, J. Phillip Soultz.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 W. Kem Road, with the Rev. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., with a vigil for the deceased at 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Cancer Services of Grant County.
