Funeral service for Jim Asher, of East End, will be at 1 p.m. September 19, 2012 at Boss Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Interment will be in the Boss Cemetery.
Mr. Asher died September 9, 2012 in Springfield at the age of 68 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Asher, East End; children, Kelly Asher and wife, Lynn, Billings; Lisa Hedrick and husband, Steve, East End; and Bradley Asher and wife, Chris, Belgrade; brothers, Clinton Asher and wife, Gertrude, Oates; and John Asher and wife, Susan, Boss; sisters, Jean Hedgcoth; Barb Bays, Belleview; Betty Vance and husband, Grover, Pilot Knob; Mary Key and husband, Rick, Steelville; Rebecca Mowery and husband, Leon, Salem; and Debbie Painter and husband, Jerry, Courtois; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Mr. Asher will lie in state 4 to 8 p.m. September 18, 2012 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel. Masonic service will be at 6:30 p.m.
