Mabel M. Alvin, age 92, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Morningside Manor in San Antonio, Texas.

Mabel was born on May 25, 1917, in the Town of Brooklyn, the daughter of Harry and Edna (Schultz) Moore. She attended Berlin High School and then married Ervin Alvin. Mabel was a cleaning lady for several years but primarily a housewife. She also assisted her husband in his business of Alvin and Schultz Contractors of Green Lake. Mabel was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ and the Guild, the 20th Century Club and the Green Lake Senior Center. She also enjoyed traveling with the bus tours, card playing, and dancing with her friends. She was always there to help taxi her friends to different places in the area. Mabel was a wonderful baker. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies, and giving them to her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol (John) Blattner of San Antonio, TX; son, Roger (Nancy) Alvin of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Heather and Anthony Alvin of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara (Kevin) Keeper of San Antonio, TX, and Jeffrey (Stacy) Blattner of San Antonio, TX; four great grandchildren, Justin and Andrew Keeper of San Antonio, TX, Matthew Blattner of San Antonio, TX, and Killian Nauman of Phoenix, AZ. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five sisters.
