Grace L. Airgood Berry, 80, of Lillian Road, Allegheny Township, died at 10:40 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 6, 1998) in Allegheny University Hospital, Allegheny Valley, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Born Nov. 28, 1917, in Pitcairn, she lived in her home in Allegheny Township for 57 years.
She enjoyed doing plastic canvas, reading, working crossword puzzles, and walking her dog. Survivors include a son, William P. Berry of Allegheny Township,; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Emma) Mills of West Leechburg and Mrs. Walter (Patricia) Drozd of Allegheny Township; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and five sisters, Marie Dry of Cannonsburg, Ethel Syster of Grove City, Catherine Root and Ruth Howard, both of Pitcairn, and Verna Reinhart of Norfolk, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Berry, in 1985; her parents, Webster and Myrtle Pierce Airgood; four brothers Paul, Clair Edward, and Roy; and two sisters, Dorothy Stitt and Mildred Lowe.
Friends will be welcome by her family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Clawsons, Second at Main Streets, Leechburg, where funeral ceremonies will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Edward Sheehan officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
