Carol, 93, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson. She was born to Robert and Adeline Reid.
On October 12, 1943, she married Harold “Knobby” Hartsuff and had seven children. Carol lost the love of her life on June 10, 2000.
Carol was a homemaker and worked at ACO in Pinckney, MI, for many years. She was an avid bowler until the age of 91. She loved playing the piano or organ and crocheting. Carol spent many hours crocheting baby blankets and afghans for family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Reid (Judy) Hartsuff, Gaye (Jerry) Sipes, Mark (Kris) Hartsuff, Mary (Pete) Passink, Joye (Rick) Stevens, Hope Hartsuff, and special son-in-law Garth (Cindy) Hannewald; her grandchildren: Gregg (Tricia) Hartsuff, Heidi (Ben) Barber, Jeff (Beth) Sipes, Jennifer (Anthony) Hayes, James (Malinda) Sipes, Sarah Hartsuff, Luke (Jodi) Hartsuff, Josh Hartsuff, Shauna (Jeremy) Erard, Scott Passink, Zachary Stevens, Jordan Stevens, Carrie (Craig) Schray, Brad Hannewald; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother Ralph (Bobbie) Reid.
In addition to her husband, Harold Hartsuff, she was preceded in death by daughter Dawn Hannewald, grandson Jerry Sipes Jr., and sister Hilda Sholty.
A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge.
