Harry Brown Barker, 85 of Danville Road in Lancaster, passed away, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Ky. He was born, August 9, 1927 in Danville, Kentucky and the son of the late Harry P. Barker and Elsie Brown King. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Corp, was truck driver for more than twenty five years, a school bus monitor, enjoyed reading, and watching Western TV shows. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Schooler Barker, and a sister, Margaret Bowers.
Survivors include his daughters, Pat Forster (Dail) of Lancaster, KY, Sandra Henderson (the late Don) of Suffolk, Virginia, and Pam Poff (Ralph) of Kingsport, TN, grandchildren, Courtney Henderson of Lancaster, KY, Christopher (Ashley) Henderson of Suffolk, Virginia, and Brandon Poff of Kingsport, TN, and a great grandchild, Jaxdon Henderson of Suffolk, Virginia.
Services will be 11am, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Ramsey Funeral Home with Rev. Bryce McCulley officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
