Donna passed away Sept. 10, 2012 in Chanute, Ks. Donna was born in Pawnee City, Neb., on Nov. 10, 1935, the daughter of Fredrick and Lottie Jones Howard. She graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1953 and later graduated from Peru State Teachers College with her teaching degree.
Donna & Kenny were Married on Oct. 31, 1956 in Humboldt, Neb. Born to Donna & Kenny was a Son, Matthew Grenger, born Jan. 17, 1972, died Jan. 19 1972.
She was a rural school teacher in Du Bois, Neb., and lower grades in Burchard, Neb., Donna and Kenny moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a substitute teacher. After they moved to Chanute she worked for Kustom Electronics where she retired after several years.
Donna is survived by her husband, Kenny Cordon, of Chanute, Ks. and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Grenger Cordon, her parents, and three brothers.
The family will receive friends this evening [Sept 12, 2012] from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel in Chanute, Ks.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church in Pawnee City, Neb. Burial will be in the Pawnee City Cemetery in their family plot.
Memorials in her name may be made to the donor's choice and may be left with the funeral home.
