Pamela Baker MacLaren, age 40, of Ridgefield, CT, and Somers, NY, died on September 10, 2012 at Danbury Hospital.

She was born December 6, 1971, in Derry, NH, daughter of Linda Baker MacLaren and Gilbert B. MacLaren, Jr.

Pam lived in New Hampshire and Rhode Island before moving to Ridgefield in 1975. She attended the Ridgefield Schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1989. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan in 1994.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1994 and began her career as an assistant with B.B.&J. Visual Effects and then as a Post Production Manager/Coordinator for Fox Family Channel and Writer/Producer for Fox Family Worldwide.

As Post Production Manager for Warner Brothers Animation, her post-production team won a Daytime Emmy Award for " The New Batman Superman Adventures."

She also worked on live action TV shows such as Deadly Games, Sentinel, Sliders and Weird Science and animated television on Steven Spielberg Presents: Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Pinky and The Brain, Batman Beyond, Histeria and Waynehead.

She returned to CT in the fall of 2001 and later moved to Somers, NY. She was employed in New York as Manager, Scheduling and Operations for ESPN and Manager, Post Production Operations for Lifetime Entertainment. Her current position was Production Manager for NBC Sports & Olympics in Stamford, CT specifically working on the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

Her varied interests were history, painting, photography, piano, swimming, the environment and taking care of her beloved rescue cats. She traveled to Greece, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy and Hawaii.

Pam was devoted to her family and friends and was well-respected by many colleagues for her talents, commitment and professionalism. She was funny, bright, informed, and articulate. She was steadfast in her belief that if she was passionate about something it was worth discussing and she thrived on conversations regarding those passions. She was an organ donor and would encourage others to do the same.

Pam was predeceased by her father, Gilbert, in April.

She is survived by her mother Linda Baker MacLaren, and five siblings: Elizabeth Maldonado and husband Michael of San Antonio, Texas; Gilbert MacLaren and wife Jane of Lakeville, CT; Laura Powell of Watsontown, PA; Julia Anderson and husband Jeff of New Preston, CT; Geoffrey MacLaren and wife Audra of Bantam, CT. Sixteen nieces and nephews: Jeffrey, Jason, Joshua, Erin and Jared Maldonado; Ryan, Connor and Garett MacLaren; Christopher, Sarah and Jacob Powell; Briana, Alina and Tegan Anderson; Alexandra and Katharine MacLaren.

She is also survived by her Aunt and Uncle Judy and Ed Hunter; cousins Lisa, Samuel, Joshua and Mathew Vlasich; Jodi, Shawn, Allie and Katie Day all of E. Kingston, NH; Aunts Peg Gonthier, Norma Kirby, Janet Conley, Uncles Ian MacLaren, Richard Palmer and Ron Kenney and their families, and lifelong friend Claire Fischer.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, East Kingston, NH at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to SPCA of Westchester, 590 North State Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 would be greatly appreciated.
