In the cinema, he is remembered for his roles in the Olsen Gang films. In the first Olsen Gang films like the self-important police director who does not think of much else than the corps honor and enhancing the image. From the Olsen Gang film no. 6 he hit his role in the films fixed as the eternal capitalist villain, first under the name Holm Hansen, since as Baron Lövenwold and finally under the name Bang-Johansen. He was from 1947 until his death married to actress Lis Løwert.
