Albert was the son of Addie May and Isaac Cuppy. He had 2 daughters by a first marriage and then married Bessie L. Windle February 10, 1968. He lived most of his life in the Iola area.

AREA MAN IS KILLED IN CRASH
Albert E. Cuppy, 59, Geneva, was killed in an automobile accident at 12?30 this morning eight miles east of the U.S. 75 and 54 junction on U.S. 54.
Injured was Bessie L. cuppy, 61, also an occupant of the car. Mrs. Cuppy was taken to the Allen County Hospital where she is listed as being in fair condition.
The Highway Patrol said that the car was headed east on the highway when it left the roadway on the north side, came back on the road and skidded off on the south side hitting an embankment, striking a utility pole and overturning.
The Patrol said that it has not yet been determined which occupant was driving at the time of the accident.
The Cuppy car was listed as a total loss.
Albert E. Cuppy was born October 8, 1909 at Iola. He attended the schools here and except for a few years in Lawrence and Wichita, had lived in this area all of his life.
He was married to Bessie Windle in Iola on February 10, 1969.
At the time of his death, he was employed on the farm of Raymond Nichols.
Survivors include his widow of the home; two daughters by a former marriage, Cheryl Cuppy and Dorothy Cuppy, both of Corning, California; a sister, Mrs. Francis Kelley, Colony; his mother, Mrs. I. C. Cuppy, Colony; two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Nitcher and the Rev. I. N. Neuenswander will officiate. Burial will be in the Iola Township Cemetery.
