Cline was the s/o William Palmer Griggs, Junior and Cora Irene Lee. He shares a history with his wife Faye for 40 years. Together they owned and ran a Cafe known as the "US Cafe - Known Coast to Coast!" in Dalton until 1969. It was the Restaurant to take guest to and the most update place to eat at that time before fast food.
Cline was a well educated, well to do and well known man in Dalton and was active in politics and city government. In his attic he had the most wonderful layout full of trains, piles of trains!
Cline was found in the Parking lot of the Elks Club with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was suffering from an advanced case of rheumatoid arthritis that affected all extremities and caused him severe pain.
