January 8, at her home in this village,
after an illness of five months.
Tuberculosis was the cause of death.
Mrs. Bullis whose maiden name was
Emma Kathrine Swanson, was born
at Granite falls, Minn., May 4, 1885.
She came to Mille Lacs county
with her parents in the year of 1888,
and was married at this place November
15, 1907, to Charles E. Bullis.
Two children blessed this union, one
of whom survives. Besides numerous
friends deceased is survived by her
husband, a baby daughter,a brother,
Joseph, and a sister, Julia, all of Princeton.
Mrs. Bullis was a woman who en-
joyed the love and esteem of all who
knew her, and her passing away is
mourned by all.
Funeral services were held last
Sunday afternoon at the Methodist
church and were largely attended.
Rev. E. B. Service had charge of
same and delivered a funeral sermon
containing many words of comfort to
the bereaved relatives. A quartet
composed of Mrs. C. A. Caley, Mrs.
E. B. Service, Guy Ewing and Adna
Orton sang some beautiful selections,
Miss Anderson acting as accompanist.
The pallbearers were Wm Miller,
Archie Whitcomb, Ralph Jones, Carl Boyn,
Lee Jones and A. E. Hayes. Interment
was in Oak Knoll cemetery.
