Martha's maiden name was Ramsey. Her birthdate appears to have been about 1845, so her stone is probably off. She married a Curley (Kerlee)and had two children, Adda(Addie) F. and James William, and was soon widowed. They lived in Buncombe County, NC. In 1900 we find Martha living with her son James, her daughter Addie was at that time married to Earnest Williams with children. At this time Martha had remarried to a Chambers. He is not present in 1900, perhaps widowed again. Martha had two wards and a servant listed. One of those wards was Charles Finley Justice, and she adopted him. It appears Martha moved from North Carolina to Ft. Collins, Colorado with her daughter Addie Williams. James moved to Deland, Illinois and then to Ft. Collins, Colorado at about the time his mother passed away.
