Born in Amherst, he had lived in South Deerfield most of his life, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. James Church, and a member of Polish American Citizens Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Hale Clapp Post 3295. His wife, the former Ann Deskavich, died in 1984. He leaves a sister, Margaret Hawthorne of Southbridge. The funeral will be Thursday morning at Wrisley Funeral Home and in the church with burial in Brookside Cemetery.
