John E. Berry, the well known auctioneer, died yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at his home, 7 Chelmsford street. At 3 o'clock he received a stroke of apoplexy and did not recover from it. He was out and feeling quite well Sunday. Mr. Berry was 40 years of age. He was a member of Lowell lodge, K. of P., and Manchester Unity Odd Fellows. He was formerly in the furniture business on Market street and later on had a store on Middlesex street. He leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
